The symposium attracting a number of participants from
enterprises, lecturers, and students to come
The symposium was held by the Faculty of Civil Engineering in cooperation with the Japanese Takenaka Corporation. During the symposium, five (05) papers were presented by researchers from Institute of Research and Development, an affiliate of Takenaka Corporation, and TW-ASIA. The papers introduced issues relating to foundation design and engineering, behaviors and measurements of piled-raft foundations; behaviors of cement wall supporting piled-raft friction; history of the piled-raft foundations of high-rise buildings in Japan; applications of post-grouting bored pile construction technologies in Vietnam.
As a forum, the symposium was not limited to researchers from HCMUT and Takenaka Corporation. The symposium also attracted a number of scientists and experts from construction companies, universities, research institutes and so on.
